Hello, I’m Marija, and I was born and raised in the beautiful medieval town of Korčula.
Ever since I can remember, I have loved travelling, meeting new people, and discovering different cultures. While I enjoy exploring the world, the Mediterranean has always held a special place in my heart. And yet, after every journey, I always return convinced that I live in the most beautiful corner of the Mediterranean – Korčula.
Korčula is much more than its stunning stone streets and breathtaking views. It is a town filled with fascinating stories, centuries of history, rich traditions, and unique local customs. Every corner has something to tell, and I truly enjoy bringing those stories to life for my visitors.
For many years, I was also a member of a traditional klapa singing group. This experience gave me a deep appreciation of our cultural heritage and the importance of preserving local traditions. It also helped me become a passionate heritage guide, able to interpret Korčula’s history, music, customs, and way of life in an authentic and engaging way.
For me, guiding is not simply about sharing facts and dates. A town is defined by its people, their stories, and their traditions. My goal is to help you experience Korčula through the eyes of someone who has grown up here and loves calling this remarkable place home.
